Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts & Finance Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting and financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations in the fast-paced fintech industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and a proven track record of successfully leading accounting and finance teams.

Duties & Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and prepare timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of accounting and financial reporting systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with UK financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and fintech-related security guidelines.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Provide financial forecasts and in-depth analyses to support strategic decision-making and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering growth and performance.
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the finance department, including bank and partner reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Conduct financial feasibilities and ROI analyses of fintech products and provide viability recommendations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Coordinate and manage annual audits, working closely with external auditors, and address findings promptly.
- Prepare and present financial performance reports and insights to senior management, investors, and board members
- Evaluate and adopt emerging fintech tools and strategies to optimize financial processes and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Stay informed on global fintech trends and financial regulations to maintain a competitive edge.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned by the management.
Knowledge & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or Master in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA qualified / ICAP CA CAF and CFAP stage cleared.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management (post-articles), with a strong background in fintech or digital payments.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven experience managing accounting and finance teams.
- In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Technical literacy on digital financial services.
