Internship Summary
ACE Money Transfer is offering an entry-level Technical Writing Internship for a detail-oriented candidate who is eager to learn how to convert complex product and financial workflows into clear, user-friendly documentation.
In this internship, you will support our Remittance, Treasury, and Accounting documentation initiatives by assisting with SOPs, user guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles. You will collaborate closely with developers, Product Managers, QA, and finance stakeholders to document workflows accurately and consistently. This role is ideal for a student or fresh graduate with strong English writing skills and an interest in fintech or financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Support & Content Development
Assist in drafting and updating user guides, how-to articles, and internal documentation.
Convert technical and functional inputs into clear, structured content under guidance.
Help maintain documentation hygiene by identifying outdated content and proposing updates.
Domain Exposure (Finance Workflows)
Learn and document core concepts such as remittance transaction flow, treasury funding cycles, and basic accounting entries.
Support the creation of SOP-style documentation for operational processes, focusing on accuracy and compliance alignment.
Assist in preparing release notes by summarizing updates, bug fixes, and feature changes shared by the product/engineering teams.
Collaboration & Information Gathering
Shadow and support structured information-gathering sessions with Product Managers, Developers, QA, and Financial Analysts.
Validate documented steps by comparing drafts against QA/test environment outcomes (with support from the QA team).
Capture meeting notes and translate them into draft documentation sections.
Visual Documentation & Product Copy Support
Assist in creating simple workflow diagrams (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar) to illustrate processes.
Support drafting and refining UI microcopy such as tooltips, labels, and error messages (where applicable).
Knowledge Base & Formatting Standards
Help build and maintain a searchable internal knowledge base/Wiki for faster query resolution.
Apply formatting and style standards to ensure documentation is consistent, professional, and branded.
Support versioning and documentation organization practices (basic CMS and/or version control exposure).
Internship Requirements (Entry-Level)
Graduated in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Fintech, and Information Systems.
Strong English writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
Comfortable with MS Word / Google Docs; willingness to learn documentation tooling (Markdown, CMS, etc.).
Good communication skills and a collaborative working style.
An analytical mindset and the ability to learn structured workflows.
Coursework or small projects demonstrating writing, documentation, or process mapping.
Nice to Have
Basic understanding of financial terms or interest in fintech (remittance, FX, accounting fundamentals).
Familiarity with any of the following: Markdown, Confluence/Notion-style wikis, Git/version control, Visio/Lucidchart.
