Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager HR will oversee HR operations, including recruitment, payroll, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and HR reporting. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring talent acquisition aligns with business needs.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Maintain an updated database of job descriptions and organizational structures.
- Address employee grievances and foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, PESSI or any regulations.
- Manage disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolutions.
- Implement and oversee performance appraisal processes.
- Support department heads in setting KPIs and monitoring employee performance.
- Design and execute employee engagement programs.
- Supervise payroll processing, including salary adjustments, advance payments, and deductions.
- Ensure timely payroll execution for daily wagers and contract staff.
- Handle FNA (Full & Final Settlements) for outgoing employees.
- Monitor attendance, leaves, late arrivals, and absences through the HRMS.
- Generate attendance reports and handle related queries.
- Manage employee records and ensure accurate HR data.
- Identify training needs and conduct training sessions.
- Organize development programs focused on leadership, sales, and compliance.
- Maintain records of employee learning and development.
- Generate HR reports on new joiners, resignations, attendance trends, and payroll modifications.
- Conduct file audits and maintain proper documentation for labor staff.
- Manage employee cards, contracts, and related documentation.
- Update HR policies and SOPs in alignment with company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and administrative policies.
- Implement Employee Provident Fund (PF) and Gratuity Fund (GF) policies.
- Organize HR orientation, food committee meetings, and admin/security meetings.
- Support in planning events like ACE Champions League and other engagement activities.
- Oversee hostel visits and welfare inspections.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and labor laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software/systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
