Network Administrator

Job Summary:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our company’s network infrastructure. This role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of our network systems, crucial for supporting our financial technology services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network administration, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to network security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

      Network Management:

• Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network segments.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

• Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard network infrastructure from cyber threats.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management.
• Manage firewall, VPN, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.

• Monitor network performance and optimize the network for optimum speed and availability.
• Troubleshoot network problems and outages; schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.

• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations,network diagram, changes, and updates.
• Generate regular reports on network performance and status.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in a fintech or financial services environment.
• In-depth knowledge of networking hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Familiarity with security concepts and tools (e.g., VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
• Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are desirable.
