In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex financial logic and user-friendly instruction. You will not just "write" documentation; you will own the knowledge transfer process for our Remittance, Treasury, and Accounting solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses a hybrid skill set: the ability to write clear, concise English and a working understanding of financial workflows (e.g., how a remittance transaction flows, how treasury manages funds, or how general ledgers are updated). You will work directly with developers and financial experts to ensure our documentation helps users navigate our systems with confidence.

Job Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Documentation Lifecycle
- End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of the documentation lifecycle, from initial research and drafting to publication and maintenance.
- Complex Translation: Translate complex technical specifications and financial logic (e.g., FOREX rates, Nostro/Vostro account management) into simple, jargon-free guides for end-users.
- Iterative Improvement: Continuously review and update existing documentation to reflect software updates, recognizing that documentation is a living process that requires constant refinement to correct imperfections.
- Domain-Specific Documentation (Finance)
- SOP Development: Create detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical financial operations, ensuring users strictly follow compliance and security protocols in Remittance and Treasury.
- Accounting Workflows: Document the flow of entries for automated accounting modules, helping support teams understand how debit/credit entries are generated by the system.
- Release Notes: Author comprehensive release notes for new software versions, highlighting bug fixes, new features, and impacts on financial reporting.
- Collaboration & Information Gathering
- SME Interviews: Conduct structured interviews with Product Managers, Developers, and Financial Analysts to extract necessary technical details.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work alongside the QA team to verify that the steps documented align exactly with the software's behaviour in test environments.
- Visual Communication & Tools
- Process Mapping: Create professional workflow diagrams (using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar) to visualize the lifecycle of a remittance transaction or a treasury deal.
- UI/UX Copy: Assist in drafting on-screen text, error messages, and tooltips to improve the immediate usability of the software interface.
- Knowledge Base Management
- Online Help: Build and maintain a searchable knowledge base/Wiki for the Application Support team to resolve client queries faster.
- Formatting Standards: Enforce a strict style guide to ensure all documents look professional, consistent, and branded.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with proficiency is English (verbal and written).
- 1-2 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software development company.
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or Markdown).
- Familiarity with content management systems and version control.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
