Job Description
To assist the Accounts Manager in managing the financial operations of ACE Properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and effective team supervision across all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Budgeting
Assist in overseeing the accounts department and support accurate, timely financial reporting.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and contribute to special projects as required.
Provide expense-related information to relevant departments.
Team Supervision & Development
Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure efficient operations.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Collaborate with external/internal auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Accounts Operations
Supervise core accounting functions including:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Payroll Processing
Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing across all accounting operations.
Verify payments against respective budgets and obtain necessary approvals for exceptional or high-value expenses.
Review the fixed asset register and depreciation schedule, ensuring accurate charging of depreciation.
Banking & Cash Management
Manage and coordinate all bank-related matters.
Act as custodian of cash and bank-related assets, ensuring proper control and handling.
Review and approve bank reconciliations regularly.
Ensure proper documentation and evidence for all cash disbursements.
Commission & Payment Verification
Verify and process payments for Sales Agents in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CA Finalist - ACCA or equivalent certification will be given preference .
Experience:
+5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
Experience in Real estate, Construction organizations is a plus.
Strong knowledge of Taxation , IFRS, financial controls, and budgeting.
Excellent analytical, supervisory, and communication skills.
