The Role
As a PHP Developer Intern, you'll work alongside our senior developers on real-world projects. This is a hands-on role — you won't be making coffee, you'll be writing code, solving problems, and shipping features.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and related frameworks (Laravel / CodeIgniter / Symfony)
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Assist in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Work with MySQL databases — write queries, design schemas, optimize performance
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack
- Collaborate with the development team using Git for version control
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings
- Learn and grow through mentorship from senior engineers
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Knowledge of MySQL or any relational database
- Eagerness to learn and a problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Laravel or any PHP framework
- Familiarity with Git / GitHub
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs
- Any personal or academic projects to showcase
