Role Summary:
The UI/UX Researcher will be responsible for uncovering valuable insights into user behaviour, needs, and pain points to guide the design and development of ACE Money Transfer’s products. By employing a range of research methods, the researcher will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Insights:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies.
- Gather and analyse data on user behaviour, motivations, and pain points to uncover actionable insights.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with UI/UX Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to integrate research findings into the product design process.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define research goals, objectives, and methodologies.
- Present research findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, using reports, presentations, or visual data storytelling.
Usability Testing & Evaluation:
- Plan, conduct, and document usability testing sessions for prototypes, wireframes, and live products.
- Identify usability issues and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the user experience.
- Create and maintain a library of user testing insights to guide future design decisions.
Research Strategy & Methodology:
- Define research strategies that align with business goals and product objectives.
- Employ a variety of research methods such as card sorting, A/B testing, heatmaps, and contextual inquiries to gather relevant data.
- Develop personas, customer journey maps, and user flows based on research findings.
Continuous Learning & Innovation:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in user research methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and foster a research-driven culture within the organisation.
- Experiment with innovative research approaches to enhance the depth and quality of insights.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in user research, preferably in a digital product or fintech environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in user research tools like Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, Lookback, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analysing qualitative and quantitative data using tools like Excel, SPSS, or Tableau.
- Ability to craft and execute effective research plans tailored to project needs.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present research findings to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with UX design principles and tools like Figma or Adobe XD (a plus).
