Compliance Layer - 1
Entry Level
About the Role

ACE Money Transfer is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join our Layer-1 Compliance team. In this role, you will serve as the first line of compliance review for money transfer transactions, helping ensure that all transactions are assessed in accordance with applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT), and internal compliance requirements.

You will be responsible for reviewing transaction activity, assessing potential risks, identifying unusual or suspicious patterns, and making accurate, consistent, and well-documented decisions in line with established policies and procedures. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to identify potential compliance concerns while supporting efficient transaction processing.

Working closely with the wider Compliance, Operations, and other relevant teams, you will investigate transaction related alerts, request or review supporting information where necessary, and escalate higher-risk or complex cases for further assessment. You will also maintain clear records of reviews and decisions, contribute to the effective management of compliance risks, and support the continuous improvement of transaction monitoring and review processes.

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to maintaining regulatory standards, protecting the business from financial crime risks, and ensuring that compliance controls are applied consistently while supporting a secure, reliable, and compliant money transfer service.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor financial transactions to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crime.
  • Ensure all transactions adhere to AML and CFT regulations.
  • Review alerts, customer documents and verification requirements, and record the basis for each decision.
  • Conduct initial risk assessments and escalate concerns to the MLRO in line with internal protocols.
  • Prepare and submit internal reports on suspicious transactions accurately and on time.
  • Provide frontline compliance support by responding to internal queries and guiding transaction reviews.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams when documents or information are required.
  • Ensure timely service delivery across Layer 01 operations, meeting the agreed service levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (finance, law, business or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to apply set criteria consistently.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, as required by business operations.
