We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Finance Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting and financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations in the fast-paced fintech industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management and a proven track record of successfully leading accounting and finance teams.

As the Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting and financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations in the fast-paced fintech industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management and a proven track record of successfully leading accounting and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain books of accounts and prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Play pivotal role in development and implantation of accounting and financial reporting system and processes.
- Ensure compliance with UK financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Provide regular financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to senior management for optimizing financial performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounts and finance department, including bank and partner reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare financial feasibilities of different products and recommending on viability of products.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax, auditing, and other reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Assist in the management of cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support the company's growth and expansion plans.
- Coordinate and manage annual financial audits, working closely with external auditors.
- Address audit findings and implement recommendations for process improvements.
- Communicate financial performance and key insights to senior management, investors, and board members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned by the management.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA qualified / ICAP CA CAF and CFAP stage cleared.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management (post-articles), with a strong background in fintech or digital payments.
- Proven experience managing accounting and finance teams.
- In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Technical literacy on digital financial services.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
