LocationLahore (Pakistan office). The role covers European trading hours on a rota.
TeamLeads a team of corridor pricing managers, pricing operations, and analysts

About Us:

ACE Money Transfer is a UK-based multinational company headquartered in Manchester, United Kingdom. We provide secure online remittance services to customers in 29 countries across the UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia, enabling cross-border money transfers to 100+ countries worldwide.

Role purpose

Own the take rate: the revenue ACE earns per transaction, per corridor pair, through governed pricing. Set and defend the pricing rulebook (margin floors, tolerance bands, campaign pricing control) across every sending-to-receiving corridor pair and every payout partner.
The role is the group's pricing authority, and the arbiter between two legitimate pulls: the volume owner's case for sharper prices, and the cost side's case for wider margins. It belongs to neither, which is why it reports to neither. It prices on evidence, holds the floors, and answers for the fairness of every published price.
Revenue is volume multiplied by take rate. Growth owns volume. This role owns take rate. Both carry the same segment net-revenue measure, so neither can optimise against the other.

Key responsibilities

  • Own revenue per transaction on the pricing side.
  • Own the pricing rulebook as versioned configuration.
  • Lead the Corridor Pricing Managers.
  • Act as business owner of the group's pricing and rate-automation platform, including its classification logic and approval controls.
  • Own competitor position, measured on what the customer actually receives (rate and fee together) rather than the headline rate alone, and answer for what's done about it.
  • Optimise revenue streams within agreed scheme terms as may be applicable, and flag any increasing dependency to Finance.
  • Govern promotional pricing end to end.
  • Operate rate and fee changes as a single decision: no move presented to customers as an improvement may reduce what the beneficiary receives.
  • Carry conduct accountability for pricing under the UK Consumer Duty, covering fairness of differentiation, disclosure alignment, and design-stage engagement with the Group MLRO.
  • Establish and chair a monthly pricing governance forum.
  • Feed daily pricing intelligence into group reporting.
  • Build and scale the function.

Performance measurement

  • Performance is measured against a structured KPI framework covering commercial, operational, governance and people outcomes, weighted to reflect that this role owns take rate, not absolute volume. The framework is agreed with the Group CEO on appointment.

Experience and qualifications

  • 8+ years in revenue management or pricing within a high-volume, transaction-driven business (payments, remittances, fintech, FX, ride-hailing, online travel, or a comparable adjacent discipline), with at least 3 years in a dedicated pricing or revenue-leadership seat, and part of it in a regulated consumer market. Ten years preferred; capability outweighs tenure.
  • Track record managing distinct regional or corridor-level economics, where cost structure, local payment rails and competitor landscape vary by geography.
  • Demonstrable experience running governed pricing: maker-checker or equivalent controlled change, pricing committees, or regulated price-setting. Working knowledge of the UK Consumer Duty or an equivalent conduct regime is the essential gate.
  • Evidence-based method. Has designed and scaled pricing experiments or controlled tests, and can show a measured result rather than a claimed one.
  • Strong transaction economics: FX pricing, fee structures, incentive schemes, correspondent and scheme costs, unit-level profitability.
  • Fluent in SQL against a data warehouse; comfortable with statistical programming (Python or R) or directs analysts who are; has built or run BI/analytics tooling rather than depending on a separate data team for answers.
  • Has led a pricing or revenue team, including managers, and built a function rather than inherited one.
  • Comfortable translating between board-level commercial narrative and the technical or product teams that implement pricing.
  • Quantitative degree (mathematics, statistics, economics, data science or a related field); postgraduate desirable. Capability outweighs certification.
